PayScript...

PayScript is a batch processing utility which has been developed to work with the Cyborg /ST system operating on Windows Servers. It provides a windows based graphical interface which allows users to execute server processes from their desktop, this can include system maintenance as well as payruns and reports etc.It has been developed using Visual Basic Script which, as a Microsoft scripting tool, makes it very versatile, easy to customise and is universally supported. PayScript uses remote dynamic scripting to create and execute processes on the application server. It effectively combines command line processing with Batch GUI functionality into a single, one-stop menu driven utility.

PayScript automatically generates bat files for the requested process and schedules it for execution. Unique Job ID's are allocated to each process and log files are generated to provide an audit trail based on success or failure. PayScript uses the Windows Task Scheduler (the 'at' command) as standard and is also designed to work with ActiveBatch, however, it can be developed to work with any scheduling tool that you may have.

PayScript requires some initial configuration to adapt it to the specifics in your environment, but once installed, it requires no maintenance except for enhancements you might require. (This can be done yourself if you have VBScript knowledge in your organisation). Changes made to your windows directory structure only need to be specified once and the change filtered dynamically into any related process that uses these file assignments.

Customisation typically includes the addition of menu items and processes such as interfaces, reports, imports, exports & additional maintenance etc and PayScript will embrace any bat files that you may have already created to run your processes.

Installation and operation can be in one of three configurations and is based on the technical infrastructure and security policies that you have implemented within your organisation.

The cost of PayScript is £1,250 which includes an initial 2 days consultancy for the installation and configuration. Additional consultancy will be charged at the rate of £500 per day if further days are required or if any customisation is requested.
